One of our canvassers has informed us that people at the Astoria Houses on 1-05 and 27-05 Astoria Blvd are without many basic needs that can be met through donation. A number of people affected by the storm may qualify for emergency food stamps. The program is called the Disaster-Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP).

Thanks everyone, for your contributions! So far, the main unmet need is for pumps for basements of buildings that have been flooded. If anyone can meet that need, please let us know.
